Pulling Weeds!!! — July 19, 2026
“Pulling Weeds!!!” uses Jesus’ parable of the wheat and weeds to challenge the instinct to judge or uproot people too quickly. The sermon distinguishes the ordinary work of protecting children and tending a garden from the parable’s warning: in a human community, roots are intertwined, and harsh certainty can injure the good alongside the harmful. It calls the church to patience, accountability, prayer, and care while leaving final judgment to God.
